Hyundai Motor’s premium brand Genesis is accelerating its expansion in the European market. On the 12th, Genesis held a press conference in Le Mans, France, and announced that it would expand into four additional countries—Poland, Portugal, Denmark, and Austria—by 2027. With this expansion, Genesis’ European sales network will grow to a total of 11 countries. The company plans to broaden its sales reach to Eastern, Southern, and Northern Europe, focusing on regions where demand for electric vehicles is rapidly increasing. In particular, Poland, Denmark, and Austria are considered markets with a large share of electric vehicles and premium cars. Genesis plans to target the European market centered on the electrified GV60 and GV70 and GV80 models. It also plans to shift its sales approach to a local dealercentered model and further expand its distribution network in France and Italy. In addition, through participation in the Le Mans 24 Hours Hypercar class, it aims to strengthen both brand awareness and its performance image.
