Xinhua News Agency, Bangkok, July 24 — Thai Prime Minister Anutin met in Bangkok on the same day with visiting Chinese Defense Minister Dong Jun. The two sides exchanged views on bilateral relations, defense cooperation, and the regional situation. Anutin said that Thailand had just completed a visit to China, and that the two sides had reached multiple consensus on strengthening exchanges and cooperation in various fields and advancing the building of a ThailandChina community with a shared future. The Thai side reiterated its commitment to the One China policy and stated that ThailandChina defense cooperation is an important component of the two countries' comprehensive strategic partnership of cooperation, expressing willingness to continue strengthening strategic coordination and mutual trust through the "2+2" strategic dialogue mechanism. Dong Jun said that China and Thailand have a long history of friendly exchanges, and that the current relationship is moving toward a new stage of development. The Chinese side is willing to work with the Thai side to implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries, continuously deepen cooperation between the two militaries, and provide support for regional peace, stability, and common development.
