On June 18, the State Council Information Office held a press meeting for Chinese and foreign journalists titled "Strivers on the New Journey" at the Beijing EMU Depot of China Railway Beijing Group Co., Ltd. This was the first time the SCIO had arranged a press meeting at a production site.
The five representatives attending the event all came from railway positions. They each shared their work experiences in railway logistics, locomotive operation and maintenance, customer service, tunnel equipment R&D, and EMU inspection and repair, showcasing the changes in China Railway from freight transformation and equipment upgrades to intelligent services.
The report noted that as China's railway operating mileage and highspeed rail mileage continue to grow and the railway network keeps improving, this is the result of the longterm commitment of large numbers of frontline workers and the joint drive of technological innovation.
