Two departments urgently allocate 330 million yuan to support disaster relief in 8 provinces and cities
The Ministry of Finance has urgently advanced 330 million yuan in disaster relief funds to support emergency rescue and disaster relief in 8 provinces and municipalities. The funds will be used for search and rescue, relocation and resettlement, hazard elimination, and repair of damaged homes, helping disaster-stricken areas restore order as soon as possible.
On August 5, the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Emergency Management urgently allocated 330 million yuan in central disaster relief funds for natural disasters to support emergency rescue and disaster relief efforts in eight provinces and municipalities, including Heilongjiang, Liaoning, Jilin, Chongqing, Sichuan, Guizhou, Yunnan, and Shaanxi.
This funding will be mainly used for search and rescue operations, the evacuation and resettlement of affected residents, eliminating safety hazards, investigating and addressing risks of secondary disasters, and repairing damaged and collapsed homes, in order to reduce the impact of the disaster as soon as possible.
It is currently the main flood season, and Northeast China, Southwest China, and Northwest China are continuing to experience heavy rainfall, with flooding and geological disasters already occurring in some areas. The Ministry of Finance has asked the relevant regions to speed up fund disbursement and strengthen supervision to ensure the funds are used for disaster areas and affected residents, and to maintain normal production and daily life order.
