Xinhua News Agency, Beijing, August 3: The State Council has issued Order No. 842, making revisions to the Regulations on the Protection of Integrated Circuit Layout Designs. The regulations were revised and approved by the 91st Executive Meeting of the State Council on July 10, 2026.
According to the State Council order, the new version of the regulations will take effect on October 15, 2026. The document was signed by Premier Li Qiang, and the date of promulgation is July 23, 2026.
This announcement means that the relevant intellectual property protection rules will enter the implementation stage in accordance with the newly revised provisions.
