The Frontiers Forum on Linguistics of the Chinese Social Sciences Press was Held in Guangzhou

The Frontiers Forum on Linguistics focused on Digital Intelligence Chinese, national language capacity building, and international Chinese education 31 experts gathered in Guangzhou to discuss and explore China's independent knowledge system of linguistics in the AI era

The Frontier Forum on Linguistics (2026) of the Journal of Chinese Social Sciences opened on July 11 at Jinan University in Guangzhou, with 31 experts and scholars from multiple universities and research institutions participating and delivering keynote speeches. The forum was cohosted by the Journal of Chinese Social Sciences and Jinan University. Discussions centered on topics such as digital and intelligent Chinese, national language capability development, and international Chinese language education, with a focus on new issues arising from the interdisciplinary integration of digital technology, artificial intelligence, and linguistics. Scholars attending the forum said that Chinese linguistics in the new era needs to continuously advance theoretical innovation in terms of continuity, national identity, originality, and relevance to the times, and accelerate the building of an independent knowledge system for Chinese linguistics.
