The Ministry of Emergency Management has initiated a Level IV national geological disaster emergency response for Jiangxi, Guangdong, and Guangxi

According to the Ministry of Emergency Management, affected by a new round of heavy rainfall in the south, some areas in southern Jiangxi, eastern and northern Guangdong, and central and northern Guangxi face a relatively high risk of geological disasters. After assessment by the Ministry of Emergency Management together with the Ministry of Natural Resources, a Level IV national geological disaster emergency response was activated on June 12 for Jiangxi, Guangdong, and Guangxi. The Ministry of Emergency Management requires relevant regions to effectively fulfill disaster prevention responsibilities, strengthen departmental coordination and joint response, continuously monitor rainfall, flood conditions, and geological disaster risks, improve the linkage between consultation, assessment, warning, and response, preposition rescue forces, supplies, and equipment in advance, and carry out inspections, hazard checks, and monitoring and early warning work. Relevant departments are also required, when necessary, to decisively organize the evacuation of the public to safety, ensuring that everyone who should be evacuated is evacuated and evacuated as early as possible, and to make every effort to reduce casualties.
