Ha Jungwoo, former Senior Secretary for AI Future Planning at the Blue House, who narrowly lost to lawmaker Han Donghoon in the June 3 byelection for the Busan Bukgap National Assembly seat, has resumed local activities.
On the 11th, former Senior Secretary Ha posted on Facebook that he had revisited Gupo Market, saying he was meeting market merchants and residents, listening to their complaints, and exchanging greetings. He mentioned both the support and the disappointment he received in the election, and said he intends to continue maintaining his connection with the local community.
In this election, former Senior Secretary Ha ran as the Democratic Party candidate and competed with lawmaker Han by a margin of 1,792 votes. At the campaign wrapup ceremony, he also said he would use failure as a stepping stone for the next leap forward, and later emphasized the importance of AI transformation and sovereign AI along with his lecture schedule in Jeju.
