According to the Ministry of Emergency Management, on July 8, the Office of the National Commission for Disaster Prevention, Reduction and Relief and the Ministry of Emergency Management, together with the National Food and Strategic Reserves Administration, allocated 20,000 units of central disaster relief supplies to Hubei, including folding beds, summer quilts, towel blankets, moistureproof mats, folding tables and stools, and family emergency kits, to support the resettlement of affected people and ensure their basic living needs.
At the same time, relevant departments, through the governmentsociety coordination mechanism for emergency supplies support, coordinated with the Red Cross Society of China, the China Charity Federation, the China Foundation for Rural Development, the Red Cross Foundation of China, the Amity Foundation, and others to donate 40,000 units of livelihood supplies such as relief family kits, jackets, emergency food, drinking water, and hot meals to the disasterstricken areas, helping ensure the basic living needs of affected people.
In addition, social forces such as the Yifoundation also participated in supporting the reconstruction of damaged schools in the disaster areas. Relevant work is being advanced in an overall coordinated manner to support resettlement and relief, as well as recovery and reconstruction.
