Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian said at a regular press conference on July 20 that Taiwan is an inseparable part of China’s territory, and that the relevant position is a broad consensus of the international community.
In response to the Taiwan authorities’ cancellation of the socalled “visa” facilitation measures for Cambodia, Lin Jian said that the DPP authorities are using measures to facilitate personnel exchanges to pressure other countries, openly challenging the oneChina principle, a basic norm of international relations, and once again exposing their separatist nature in seeking “Taiwan independence.”
Lin Jian also said that the Cambodian government’s statement upholding the oneChina principle shows that the DPP authorities’ relevant actions are unpopular and will not gain support.
