On July 11, the Yichang subvenue of the 20th HubeiWuhan Taiwan Week and the 4th CrossStrait (Yichang) Electronic Chemicals Industry Cooperation and Matchmaking Conference was held in Yichang, Hubei. Experts and business representatives from fields such as electronic chemicals and new materials for electronic information from both sides of the Taiwan Strait attended the event and exchanged views on industrial development and cooperation opportunities.
This matchmaking conference focused on the niche sectors of electronic chemicals and new materials for electronic information, aiming to build a more precise cooperation platform for Yichang and Taiwanese companies and institutions, and to promote resource sharing and complementary advantages in the fine chemicals sector. The Yichang side said it hopes to use this opportunity to further expand economic and trade ties as well as industrial cooperation, and also welcomes more Taiwanese investors and enterprises to invest and do business locally.
The report noted that in recent years Yichang has continuously promoted economic, trade, and scientific and technological cooperation with Taiwan, and has relied on its local phosphorous chemicals and fine chemicals industrial base, as well as the construction of related specialty zones, to attract a number of Taiwaninvested enterprises to establish and develop there. On the day of the event, the two sides also further discussed future cooperation directions through thematic presentations and topicbased sharing.
