Li Qiang Held a Phone Call with Vietnamese Prime Minister Le Minh Hung

On the morning of June 15, Chinese Premier Li Qiang held a phone call at the request of Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh. The two sides exchanged views on ChinaVietnam relations, economic and trade cooperation, and regional multilateral coordination. Li Qiang said that after the meeting between the top leaders of the two countries in April this year, both sides have been working hard to implement the outcomes of that meeting. The Chinese side is willing to continue to regard Vietnam as an important direction in neighborhood diplomacy and promote deeper cooperation between the two countries in strategic alignment, trade, infrastructure connectivity, crossborder economic cooperation zones, energy and minerals, the digital economy, artificial intelligence, finance, and other areas. Li Qiang also noted that the two sides should do a good job of activities such as the "ChinaVietnam Tourism Cooperation Year," advance livelihood projects, properly manage maritime differences, and strengthen coordination in multilateral mechanisms such as the United Nations, the World Trade Organization, and APEC, so as to safeguard free trade and an open AsiaPacific economy. Pham Minh Chinh said that the Vietnamese side attaches great importance to relations with China and is willing to work with the Chinese side to implement the important consensus of the leaders of the two parties and two countries, expand highlevel exchanges and practical cooperation, promote exchanges in areas such as transportation, trade, tourism, education, and health, and welcome more Chinese enterprises to invest in Vietnam.
