Wang Yi meets Japarov: China-Kyrgyzstan cooperation advances trade, investment, and railway projects The two sides strengthen strategic coordination, helping Chinese enterprises operate in Kyrgyzstan and expand practical outcomes

On July 24, Kyrgyzstan President Japarov met with visiting Wang Yi, Member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and Minister of Foreign Affairs. The two sides exchanged views on issues including ChinaKyrgyzstan relations, practical cooperation, and multilateral coordination. Japarov asked Wang Yi to convey his greetings to President Xi Jinping, and said that the Kyrgyz side attaches great importance to relations with China and is willing to continue deepening cooperation in such fields as trade and economic cooperation, investment, agriculture, and peopletopeople and cultural exchange, promoting progress on key projects such as the ChinaKyrgyzstanUzbekistan Railway, while also providing a better environment for Chinese enterprises operating in Kyrgyzstan. Wang Yi conveyed President Xi Jinping's greetings and said that the Chinese side will continue to support Kyrgyzstan in safeguarding its independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity, and is willing to strengthen alignment of development strategies with the Kyrgyz side to promote more成果 in bilateral cooperation. During the visit, Wang Yi also held talks with Kyrgyzstan's Foreign Minister Kulubayev and jointly attended the unveiling ceremony for the reopening of the Chinese Consulate General in Osh.
