The first underground diaphragm wall reinforcement cage hoisting for the Huangmaoxia Reservoir Project has been completed

The construction of the diaphragm wall for the Huangmaoxia Reservoir Project is accelerating, and the first reinforcement cage has been successfully hoisted The anti-seepage protection construction has entered a substantive stage, helping to speed up the subsequent standardized construction

On September 15, the first section of steel reinforcement cage for the diaphragm wall of the Huangmaoxia Reservoir Project was hoisted into place across the entire line, marking that the diaphragm wall construction for the project’s protection works has entered the substantive construction stage and laying the foundation for subsequent largescale, standardized protection construction. According to reports, the reinforcement cage hoisted this time is located in section D8+800—D8+950 of Bid II for the protection works, measuring 22.88 meters in length, 5.4 meters in width, and 0.6 meters in thickness, with the trenching depth also at 22.88 meters. The main reinforcement uses HRB400grade steel bars. In response to challenges such as deformation that is prone to occur during hoisting of ultralong reinforcement cages, the contractor adopted a combined “crawler crane + truck crane” hoisting method, and completed aerial posture adjustment and slot insertion operations. The Huangmaoxia Reservoir Project stated that the antiseepage diaphragm wall is a key controlling component of the protection works, directly affecting the antiseepage effect, embankment stability, and the project’s service life. After this milestone was completed, the project will continue to advance downstream construction of the hub works, slope excavation, as well as karst treatment and diaphragm wall construction, so as to accelerate overall progress.
