Tianjin has released its transportation “15th Five-Year Plan,” aiming to build an international comprehensive transportation hub city

On the 4th, Tianjin released the "Tianjin Comprehensive Transportation and Logistics "15th FiveYear Plan,"" proposing that by 2030 it will basically establish a modern integrated transportation system that is safe, convenient, efficient, green, and economical, further enhancing its status as an international integrated transportation hub city. According to the plan, Tianjin will take coordinated development across ports, aviation, railways, highways, and other sectors as the main line, and advance key tasks such as portindustrycity integration, improvements in passenger and freight aviation services, optimization of the road network, upgrading passenger and freight transport services, and the development of smart and green transportation. In terms of major indicators, Tianjin plans to reach by 2030 a port container throughput of 29 million TEUs and cargo throughput of 650 million tons; airport passenger throughput of 28 million trips and cargo and mail throughput of 200,000 tons; the operating mileage of highspeed rail and intercity rail will reach 510 kilometers, the total highway mileage will reach 1,450 kilometers, and the operating mileage of urban rail transit will exceed 500 kilometers. The Tianjin transportation authorities said that in the future they will continue to advance the strengthening and expansion of the rail transit network, multimodal transport, the improvement of the delivery network, the digitalintelligent transformation of transportation infrastructure, and the construction of zerocarbon highway transport corridors, while strengthening guarantees for transportation safety and resilience.
