On September 14, the Ministry of National Defense said that conducting military training for students at universities and senior high school level is an important measure to implement relevant laws and regulations and strengthen national defense education, and it is also an important part of fostering virtue and nurturing talent. Ministry of National Defense spokesperson Jiang Bin introduced that this year the military dispatched nearly 500,000 certified military training instructors in total, and organized more than 20,000 schools nationwide and nearly 30 million students to take part in military training. Students' military literacy, sense of discipline, and work style have been improved, and the social response has been positive. He also said that the Ministry of Education and the National Defense Mobilization Department of the Central Military Commission are revising the student military training syllabus, optimizing the operational mechanism, and, in line with the characteristics of the times, updating training content and enriching intelligent and digital teaching methods. Some provinces have already piloted these measures in advance to promote the quality upgrade of student military training.
