As Uber moves to acquire Germany's Delivery Hero (DH), Woowa Brothers, the operator of Baemin, is also expected to become part of the Uber group.
On the 16th, Uber announced that it had signed a merger agreement with DH and would proceed with a cash tender offer at 41.5 euros per share. The company valued DH at about $14.8 billion and is aiming to complete the deal in the second half of 2027.
With this acquisition, Uber will operate both mobility and delivery businesses across 99 markets. This includes Baemin in Korea and some delivery services in the Middle East and Southeast Asia, but some countries where Uber Eats already operates will be sold separately in consideration of antitrust review.
