Kuwait airport attack: Iranian missile and drone strikes damaged key facilities See the latest on casualties, regional tensions, and the military response now
Kuwait said its international airport was targeted in what it described as Iranian missile and drone attacks, according to a statement from the foreign ministry on Tuesday.
The ministry said the strikes caused damage to civilian and vital facilities, including the passenger terminal at Kuwait International Airport, and resulted in one death and injuries to several people. Kuwait's defense authorities said they were monitoring the situation and remained ready to respond.
The report came amid wider regional tensions, with U.S. Central Command saying American forces intercepted Iranian drones and missiles in the area and carried out selfdefense strikes in response to attempted attacks across the Middle East.
