Canada to host Chile and Peru in fall friendlies after World Cup run

Canada's men's national soccer team will play two home friendlies this fall after reaching the round of 16 at the 2026 World Cup. The team will face Chile in Toronto on Sept. 26 and Peru in Montreal on Oct. 3. Canada Soccer said the matches will be played at BMO Field and Stade Saputo. The fixtures come after Canada met both opponents during the 2024 Copa America, beating Peru 10 and drawing Chile 00. The Toronto match will also return Canada to BMO Field, where it earned its first World Cup point earlier this year in a 11 draw with BosniaHerzegovina. Head coach Jesse Marsch said the games will give fans a chance to celebrate the team's progress and support it after its deepest World Cup run to date.
