U.S. stock futures and several individual shares were active before the opening bell on Tuesday as investors reacted to fresh quarterly earnings reports and updated guidance.
CocaCola rose after beating analyst expectations on adjusted earnings and revenue and lifting its fullyear outlook. SherwinWilliams also gained after its results topped Wall Street estimates and the company raised its earnings forecast.
Other notable premarket moves included declines in Hilton Worldwide, Corning, Universal Health Services and Cincinnati Financial after mixed or weakerthanexpected results or guidance. Johnson & Johnson advanced after agreeing to a multibilliondollar settlement related to talc litigation, while Cadence Design Systems, Welltower and the bank formerly known as LendingClub also moved higher on their latest updates.
