Fire Breaks Out at Bali Beachside Restaurant During Party

A party at a beachside restaurant in Bali turned chaotic on Sunday after a balloon reportedly ignited during a birthday celebration, triggering a fastmoving fire at Chez GadoGado in the Seminyak resort area. Witnesses said the blaze spread quickly through the restaurant’s thatched roof, forcing diners and staff to flee toward the beach. An Australian teenager was hospitalized with burns, while local authorities said the fire took more than two hours to extinguish. Police said the cause is still being investigated, but early reports suggest a candle flame may have contacted a balloon, causing it to explode and start the fire. The restaurant is now listed as temporarily closed.
