NEAR rises nearly 80% in a week as Intents volume nears $30 billion
NEAR price surges as Near Protocol expands privacy trading tools Confidential deposits, growing cross-chain volume, and incentives may fuel more upside
NEAR, the native token of Near Protocol, climbed sharply over the past week as the network expanded its privacyfocused trading tools. The token was trading around $4.29 on Monday, according to CoinGecko, after rising about 78% in seven days and 22% in the previous 24 hours.
Near said confidential deposits and withdrawals for perpetual futures trading on near.com were now enabled by default, with the feature designed to hide the connection between a trader’s funding wallet and a separate Hyperliquid account. The protocol also said near.com’s confidential total value locked had passed $70 million, which triggered the first snapshot in its NEAR@3.33 incentive program.
NEAR Intents, which helps users request crosschain swaps, has also continued to grow. The explorer showed about $29.3 billion in cumulative volume and $842 million over the last seven days, while Zcashrelated activity ranked among its notable referral sources. A Bitwise analyst said Near and Zcash can work together by providing confidential crosschain infrastructure and liquidity access, while noting that reported TVL can also rise when the value of assets already in the system increases.
