Tactical evacuations underway as wildfire burns in West Kelowna

Tactical evacuations are underway in West Kelowna as a wildfire burns near Kalamoir Regional Park. The response affects parts of Casa Loma and Lakeview Heights, where officials have ordered residents in several streets to leave.
In Lakeview Heights, evacuations are in place for Collens Hill Road, Lakeview Road, Lake Ridge Road, and Weatherhill Road. In Casa Loma, affected areas include Casa Loma Road, Benedick Road, Lucinde Road, Casa Palmero Road, Alice Road, and portions of Campbell Road.
Emergency operations have been activated, and a muster centre has been set up at Westbank Lions Hall on Main Street to support evacuees. The BC Wildfire Service says the fire is about eight hectares and remains out of control.
