Stocks Move in Premarket Trading on Intel, Micron and Carnival News
Premarket stocks rally on Intel, semiconductors and travel names after key updates. See which movers gained or slipped before the opening bell and why they matter.
U.S. stocks and several largecap companies moved in premarket trading on June 18 after a mix of corporate updates and market trends.
Intel shares rose sharply after President Donald Trump said in a Truth Social post that the company had reached a deal with Apple to design and build chips in the United States. Other semiconductor names, including Marvell Technology, Lam Research and Applied Materials, also advanced, while memory makers Micron Technology, Western Digital and Sandisk gained.
Elsewhere, Pfizer slipped after announcing that finance chief Dave Denton will step down in August. SpaceX traded lower after recent volatility, while Accenture fell following news of a multibilliondollar acquisition plan. Lower oil prices lifted cruise operators such as Carnival and helped airline shares including United, Delta and American rise.
