Meta unveils new smart glasses starting at $299

Meta smart glasses start at $299, adding AI features and new designs See how Meta’s latest wearable push could shape the fast-growing glasses market

Meta has introduced a new line of smart glasses priced from $299, expanding its wearable hardware push as CEO Mark Zuckerberg continues to focus on devices for the AI era. The new Meta Glasses are being sold in partnership with EssilorLuxottica, but unlike earlier models, they do not carry RayBan or Oakley branding. The company said the glasses come in three designs and include a camera, speakers, and access to Meta’s AI for tasks such as translation and capturing photos or video. The launch comes as competition in smart eyewear intensifies. Google is working on new glasses with Warby Parker, and Snap recently announced a higherpriced pair of smart glasses. Meta, meanwhile, remains the dominant player in a market that is still relatively small but has grown quickly in recent years.
