Apple details AI model work with Google and Nvidia

Apple said at its Worldwide Developers Conference that it is using Google and Nvidia technology to support parts of its most advanced AI systems. The company said its Apple Foundation Model Cloud Pro will run in the cloud on Nvidia GPUs, with privacy protections built into the setup. The announcement came during WWDC in Cupertino, California, where Apple also showed updated Siri demos and described how its AI features are designed to route requests between ondevice and cloud models. Apple said the approach is intended to balance performance, privacy, and the use of personal context from apps such as calendars and messages. Executives said Google helped refine some of Apple’s models, while Nvidia’s latest chip capabilities made it possible to extend Apple’s private cloud compute infrastructure to thirdparty cloud systems. Apple emphasized that its models are custombuilt for Apple Silicon and are not the same as Google’s public Gemini products.
