Montreal Roses sign Marie-Yasmine Alidou and Ève Périsset
Montreal Roses add Alidou and Périsset to boost their young inaugural squad Veteran experience could lift the Roses vs Toronto on July 23 in Laval
The Montreal Roses have added two experienced players, MarieYasmine Alidou and Ève Périsset, ahead of their next NSL match.
Alidou, a Montreal native, returns to Quebec after nearly a decade playing in Europe and North America. Her most recent stint was with the Portland Thorns, and she has also played in several European leagues, including a run to the UEFA Champions League quarterfinals with Benfica.
Périsset arrives with a long résumé that includes club stops at Paris SaintGermain, Bordeaux, Chelsea and Strasbourg. The French defender has also collected major domestic and international honors and has 61 appearances for France.
Both players are expected to be available for the Roses’ July 23 match against Toronto in Laval, Que. Club officials said their experience should strengthen a young roster in the team’s inaugural season.
