AI race coach built with Antigravity and Gemini at Sonoma Raceway

Google Developer Experts built a real-time AI race coach at Sonoma Raceway See how Antigravity, Gemini, and telemetry analysis improve lap times fast

Google Developer Experts built a realtime AI race coach at Sonoma Raceway on May 23, 2026, using Antigravity, Gemini, and related Google tools. The project was designed to analyze telemetry from race cars and give drivers immediate guidance to improve lap performance. The system combined edge and cloud processing to handle data quickly in a demanding track environment. Python, Android, Jetpack Compose, the Gemini API, Gemma 4, and texttospeech were used to ingest telemetry, reason over it, and deliver audio and visual coaching. According to the post, the team focused on trustable AI by grounding decisions in physics and realtime verification. The developers also said the work points to broader uses in other highstakes fields such as energy and agriculture, and that future testing is planned at Interlagos in Brazil.
