A driver died Wednesday morning after a vehicle left the road in Montérégie, Quebec, according to provincial police. The crash happened around 7:20 a.m. on Rang SainteCatherine near de l'Église Street in SaintGérardMajella. Police said the vehicle swerved off the road, caught fire, and the driver was pronounced dead at the scene. A section of the road was closed while investigators examined what happened.
