Longueuil police arrest suspect in intimate partner violence case See how investigators tracked him down after months on the run
Longueuil police have arrested a 35yearold man who had been wanted since early April in connection with an intimate partner violence case.
Police said Andres Felipe Munoz was taken into custody on June 30 after an operation carried out with York Regional Police and investigators who specialize in intimate partner violence. He later appeared at the courthouse in SalaberrydeValleyfield.
According to police, Munoz had cut off and removed a tracking bracelet in April, which made it harder for authorities to locate him. He was wanted on charges including assault, breaching probation, and criminal harassment. Police also said he changed his appearance while trying to avoid arrest.
