Anthropic brings Claude Tag into Slack channels
Claude Tag for Enterprise brings AI into Slack channels for team collaboration Assign tasks, review outputs, and keep work moving with secure admin controls
Anthropic has launched a beta version of Claude Tag for Enterprise and Team customers, letting users bring its AI assistant directly into shared Slack channels with the @Claude mention. The update is designed to support group work by allowing team members to assign tasks, review outputs, and continue discussions in the same thread.
The company says the tool is built for workplace collaboration rather than onetoone chat. Instead of moving between Slack and separate browser tabs, employees can use Claude Tag inside active channel conversations, where it can keep track of context and task progress.
Anthropic says the system can also work asynchronously, using connected business tools, databases, and code repositories to complete tasks over time. The company is positioning the feature for both technical and nontechnical teams, including code generation, data queries, analytics, and internal IT support.
The rollout also includes administrative controls meant to limit access to approved channels and reduce data exposure. Anthropic says organisations will need to balance the efficiency gains of shared AI agents with security, compliance, and governance requirements.
