Ontario MPP faced questions over riding association spending
Stan Cho expense records raise questions about riding association spending See how meals, hotels, flights and limo charges are being scrutinized
Ontario Progressive Conservative MPP Stan Cho is facing scrutiny after expense records showed his riding association paid for meals, hotel stays, flights, and a limo rental between 2023 and 2026.
According to disclosures reviewed by Global News, the spending included dinners at upscale restaurants, stays at hotels such as the Fairmont Chateau Laurier, and travel to cities including Ottawa, Banff, Calgary, and Montreal. Some costs were covered by donor money and taxpayersupported subsidies tied to the riding association.
Cho recently repaid more than $16,000 in hotel charges billed to the Ontario Legislature and said he had made a mistake. The latest records have renewed questions about whether the expenses were appropriate and how party and constituency funds are being used.
