Emergency crews in Montreal responded to a latenight call Saturday after two people ended up in the Lachine Canal near RenéLévesque Park in the Lachine borough. According to the Montreal fire department, responders believe one person fell into the water and a second person went in to help. Fire crews and the Canadian Coast Guard searched for several hours before locating both individuals around 2 a.m. using sonar equipment.
