OpenAI launches managed enterprise AI agents with engineer support
OpenAI Presence streamlines enterprise AI agents for billing, claims, and IT Get managed deployment, stronger governance, and faster workflow automation
OpenAI has introduced Presence, a managed enterprise AI agent offering that is currently available only through a limited general availability programme. Unlike selfserve products, deployments are handled by OpenAI’s Forward Deployed Engineers and selected global systems integrators.
The service is designed around specific business workflows, such as billing disputes, insurance claims, and internal IT requests. Customers define the rules for the agent, including when it must escalate to a person, while OpenAI’s documentation says the rollout process includes security review, simulation testing, staged deployment, and postlaunch iteration.
The company is positioning Presence as a response to common enterprise AI deployment problems, including weak governance, unclear business value, and difficult integrations. OpenAI says the offering is being tested with partners such as BBVA, SoftBank, and IAG, though it has not disclosed pricing, model details, or a public cost structure for deployments.
