Premarket Moves: Meta Falls, Nvidia Rises, Airlines Slide on Oil Prices

U.S. stock futures mixed as Nvidia rises and Meta, airlines, miners slip Track oil, yields, and premarket movers for the key signals driving today’s trade

U.S. stock futures saw a mixed start as several major companies moved sharply in premarket trading. Meta Platforms fell after a strong run last week, while Nvidia edged higher following new AI safety software news and a larger share buyback program. Energy shares gained after oil prices climbed above $96 a barrel, supporting names such as Occidental Petroleum, ConocoPhillips, Exxon Mobil, and Chevron. At the same time, airlines including United, American, Southwest, and Delta came under pressure as investors weighed higher fuel costs. Gold miner Newmont declined as precious metal prices eased and Treasury yields rose, with the 10year U.S. yield moving above 5.2%. Broadly, semiconductor stocks were weaker to start the week, even as Nvidia outperformed the sector.
