CoinEx to cease operations after 9 years as crypto volumes fall
CoinEx shutdown: key dates for trading, deposits and withdrawals after nine years See what ends first, what stays open, and how to move funds before deadlines
Crypto exchange CoinEx said it will wind down its business after nine years, citing a prolonged market downturn, weaker trading volumes and liquidity, and higher regulatory and compliance costs.
The company said it will stop new registrations, end referral rewards, and place futures contracts in reduceonly mode. It will also halt new orders and subscriptions across several services, including fiat, margin, lending, earn, staking, and strategic trading.
According to the shutdown schedule, nonspot services and onchain deposits will end on Sept. 22, spot trading will stop on Sept. 29, and withdrawals will remain open until Dec. 22. Any unwithdrawn USDT will be moved to an independent custodian, while CoinEx Wallet and CoinEx Vault will continue operating separately from the exchange.
