Meta hires MongoDB CEO CJ Desai to lead enterprise unit
Meta Enterprise Platform brings Meta's AI tools for business customers See how CJ Desai will lead Muse, coding, and enterprise products
Meta Platforms has hired MongoDB CEO CJ Desai as its chief enterprise platform officer, according to the company. Desai will report to Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg and lead a new business unit called Meta Enterprise Platform.
The new group will initially focus on tools including the Muse agent, a business agent, and a coding tool. Meta said the effort builds on its AI models, infrastructure, and business relationships as it expands further into enterprise software.
MongoDB said former CEO Dev Ittycheria will return as interim president and CEO. The announcement sent MongoDB shares down 25% as investors reacted to the leadership change and Meta's broader push into AI products for business customers.
