Former central bankers join Fnality’s supervisory board
Fnality expands blockchain settlement beyond sterling with new board leaders Discover how the fintech is building euro and dollar systems for tokenized assets
Fnality has appointed former Bank of England deputy governor Jon Cunliffe to lead its UK board as the company expands its blockchainbased settlement business beyond sterling.
The fintech also said Jochen Metzger, formerly a senior payments official at the Deutsche Bundesbank, has joined its European subsidiary’s supervisory board and is expected to chair it. Ron Berndsen, a former senior official at the Dutch central bank, has also joined the board.
Fnality launched its sterling payment system in 2023 and is regulated by the Bank of England. The company is now developing euro and US dollar payment systems, with subsidiaries in Germany and the United States, as it seeks to support tokenized assets, stablecoins and tokenized deposits.
