Univé builds an AI-ready workforce
ChatGPT Enterprise helps Univé scale AI skills with safe, responsible use See how 97% adoption, custom GPTs, and faster claims work drive results
Univé, one of the Netherlands’ largest cooperative insurers, is using ChatGPT Enterprise to expand AI skills across its workforce. The company says the goal is not just to add new tools, but to help employees use AI safely and responsibly within a clear governance framework.
Leadership played a central role in the rollout. Univé brought managers together for AIfocused sessions to help them understand how work could change and how they could support responsible experimentation across teams. The company says this approach helped create a culture where employees are encouraged to build and test practical uses for AI.
According to Univé, about 97% of ChatGPT Enterprise licenses have been activated, 85% of users are active weekly, and employees have created roughly 1,500 custom GPTs. The insurer says AI is now used across functions such as claims, underwriting, finance, HR, legal, IT, and customer service. In some cases, claims work that used to take hours can now be prepared in minutes, while human staff remain responsible for final decisions.
