Scam.ai said at Computex 2026 in Taipei that it has partnered with Qualcomm and released Halo, an ondevice model designed to detect deepfakes during live video calls.
According to the company, Halo runs locally on desktop computers powered by Qualcomm chips, which means video does not need to leave the device for analysis. The system is intended to work in the background during conferencing sessions and alert users if synthetic or AIgenerated video is detected in real time.
Scam.ai said the tool is aimed at enterprise users such as HR teams, recruiters, and senior executives who face higher exposure to identity fraud in video meetings. The company also said it plans to share more details on enterprise integrations and future platform partnerships in the coming months.
