The reported attack came after Iranian parliamentary speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf said on X that U.S. actions in Lebanon and a naval blockade amounted to violations of the truce. U.S. officials said President Donald Trump had been briefed on the renewed fighting.
Israel said its air defenses were operating after identifying incoming missiles, while CNBC noted it could not independently confirm the launch. Trump said the strikes would make negotiations more difficult, and later reports said he was expected to urge Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu not to retaliate.
