Oshawa man dies after falling off boat near Peterborough, operator charged

A 39yearold man from Oshawa died after falling into the Otonabee River near Peterborough, Ontario, on Tuesday afternoon.
Ontario Provincial Police said the man was on a boat with three other people when another vessel passed by, causing him to go into the water. Police said he was not wearing a life jacket.
The OPP later found his body Tuesday evening. Police also arrested the boat operator and charged that person with operation causing death and impaired operation after determining the group had been drinking.
