Two people die in collision on Route 148 in Mirabel, Quebec

Mirabel crash on Route 148 leaves two dead after a car and semi-truck collide Police investigate the deadly Quebec collision near Montreal; road closures caused delays

Two people have died after a collision on Route 148 in Mirabel, Quebec, on Monday morning. Police said the crash involved a vehicle driven by a 45yearold woman and a semitruck driven by a 63yearold man. The collision happened around 8 a.m. near the intersection of Route 148 and StVincent Street, about 20 kilometres northwest of Montreal. The woman was taken to hospital and later died, while the man was initially reported in critical condition and later died of his injuries. Route 148 was closed between De Belle Rivière Street and StSimon Road while emergency crews and investigators worked at the scene. The Sûreté du Québec is assisting Mirabel police with the investigation.
