The affected schools include four Academy of Learning locations and Citi College of Canadian Careers. The province has not publicly detailed the allegations, but court filings from the schools point to issues involving online learning, attendance tracking, and academic progress monitoring.
The decision comes amid broader changes to Ontario’s student aid program, including reduced grants for many postsecondary students and an end to grant access for career college students. The ministry said it will act when institutions do not meet OSAP rules, while the schools say they are seeking legal review of the decision and have already submitted corrective plans.
