Céline Dion honors Peabo Bryson after his death at 75

Grammywinning R&B singer Peabo Bryson has died at the age of 75, according to a family statement. He was known for his duet with Céline Dion on Disney’s Beauty and the Beast and for singing A Whole New World with Regina Belle. Dion paid tribute on social media, saying Bryson made her feel comfortable when she was learning to sing in English. She described him as a symbol of the joy music brought to her life and said his voice and talent would be missed. Bryson built a career spanning more than five decades, with solo songs such as If Ever You’re in My Arms Again and Can You Stop the Rain, along with several awardwinning collaborations. His family said memorial plans will be announced later.
