Brendan Gallagher honorary citizen of Montreal for 14-year Canadiens career See why city hall is recognizing his lasting impact on Montrealers

The City of Montreal will name Canadiens forward Brendan Gallagher an honorary citizen at a ceremony at city hall on Thursday at 3 p.m. Gallagher has spent his entire 14year NHL career with Montreal. He recently said his time with the team was coming to an end after the Canadiens were eliminated from the playoffs. The city says the honorary citizenship is given to people who have made a lasting contribution to Montrealers through their work and commitment. Gallagher has played 911 regularseason NHL games and recorded 487 points with the Canadiens.
