2 men found guilty in Dominica killings of Daniel Langlois and Dominique Marchand

Two American men have been found guilty in Dominica of murdering Quebec entrepreneur Daniel Langlois and his partner, Dominique Marchand, in December 2023. The verdict was delivered in Roseau, the capital, after the jury deliberated for less than two hours. Jonathan Lehrer and Robert Snyder Jr. had pleaded not guilty and denied the allegations throughout the case. Their sentences have not yet been announced. Langlois and Marchand, who lived in Dominica since 1997, were found dead in a burnedout vehicle on a remote road near their property in Soufrière. Langlois worked in visual effects, and the couple owned the Coulibri Ridge ecoresort. Their deaths deeply affected Quebec, especially in cultural circles, and Marchand’s mother said she felt justice had been served.
