Spanish police have arrested All Boivin, one of Canada’s most wanted fugitives, according to Quebec provincial police. The arrest took place in Marbella, Spain, where Boivin had reportedly been living since he was wanted in February 2023.
The Sûreté du Québec said Boivin, 36, is linked to organized crime and a wave of violence tied to criminal groups in Quebec in 2022. He faces alleged charges including gangsterism, aggravated assault, kidnapping, abduction, breaking and entering, arms trafficking and drug trafficking.
Quebec Public Security Minister Ian Lafrenière praised the work of the Sûreté du Québec, the RCMP, Interpol and Spanish authorities. SQ Director Johanne Beausoleil said the arrest is an important step in efforts to disrupt organized crime and protect the public.
