Two people were taken to hospital with minor injuries after a bouncy castle flipped over in strong winds at Bridlewood Mall in Scarborough on Wednesday evening, Toronto police said.
Emergency crews responded around 5:53 p.m. to the mall’s parking lot, where the inflatable structure had overturned. Toronto Fire said firefighters checked the bouncy castle to make sure no one was trapped inside.
Paramedics also assessed two other people at the scene, but they were not taken to hospital. Photos from the site showed deflated plastic, scattered barriers, and damage to a nearby vehicle. The Ministry of Labour has been notified and an inspector visited the scene as the investigation continues.
