Toronto’s flood warning was lifted on Thursday after storm systems brought heavy rain to parts of the city and surrounding watersheds.
The Toronto and Region Conservation Authority said the warning was cancelled around midday after rainfall eased. Some areas received more than 70 mm of rain, and saturated ground conditions kept river levels higher and faster than normal for much of the day.
Toronto police also dealt with brief closures earlier in the morning, including a Don Valley Parkway on and offramp near Bloor and Bayview after flooding was reported. Police said no injuries were reported.
